The Execution
  • Partner with a person of public interest that best represents the “Unbreakable nature of cans”
  • Shoot, Direct & Edit a Full Length Documentary on their Unbreakable Story
  • Organise and execute an event that supports and/or celebrates the Unbreakable Character
  • Curate an engaging Social Media Campaign with the Unbreakable Character as the lead influencer
  • Curate and execute a PR Campaign around the partnership
  • Documentary to debut on TV with sufficient advertising lead time
  • Custom designed Unbreakable cans are created and presented as collectors items at the event
The Job

Nampak Bevcan have a consumer facing brand called CAN DO!, this is a lifestyle brand that aims to communicate the benefits of “Choosing Cans” when consumers make their beverage choices. We were commissioned to create a strategy that would achieve these objectives while appealing to the emerging markets in South Africa.

The Approach

We took the approach of looking in to the intrinsic truth of the product (Cans) and draw similarities to young people in South Africa, in order to create a lifestyle around “Choosing Cans”. We found that the Unbreakable Nature of cans is a quality that we could expand on as a marketing concept.
